Dear IPCEI ME/CT community,
Happy New Year from the IPCEI ME/CT community!
As we kick off 2026, let’s take a moment to look back at the highlights of the past months and gear up for what’s coming.
The IPCEI ME/CT Team
Under the chandeliers of The Hague and the vaulted ceilings of De Nieuwe Kerk, Europe’s semiconductor community came together on November 26-27 for the IPCEI ME/CT Annual Forum and General Assembly.
With a packed agenda, key players from industry and public authorities aligned visions, tracked progress, and strengthened collaboration across the four workstreams: Sense, Think, Act, and Communicate.
Panel discussions, workshops, and networking moments brought names, faces, and real projects to the heart of Europe’s chip strategy. And yes, there’s an aftermovie you won’t want to miss.
At EFECS 2025 in Malta (Dec 3–4), IPCEI ME/CT took center stage with two dedicated sessions.
Session 1gave a high-level view of how IPCEI supports strategic industrial investment in microelectronics. Session 2 zoomed in on concrete project results, cross-border collaboration, and the power of spillovers, from student hackathons to sustainable chipmaking.
Once again, IPCEI ME/CT will take part in ADTC with a dedicated intervention.
More details coming soon.
The second edition of IPCEI ME/CT CONNECT will take place alongside Silicon Saxony Days: a half-day networking event for participants and the wider ecosystem, with great food, drinks, and opportunities to showcase your work.

This year, IPCEI ME/CT officially becomes a co-organiser of the ECS Summer School: a full week dedicated to training students on microelectronics and key future topics for our ecosystem. Are you a professor or interested in contributing?
As every year, the General Assembly (mandatory for Direct Participants) will be combined with dedicated networking moments. Have an idea, suggestion, or topic you’d like to see addressed? Now is the time to share it.
Catch up on what you missed at the Forum! Our new Poster Talks series gives the mic to project leads sharing results, challenges, and calls for collaboration.
As we start a new year, we would like to sincerely thank you for the rich and inspiring exchanges throughout 2025. It has been a real pleasure to collaborate with you and to help showcase your work through events, webinars, and newsletters.
Your projects, results, and success stories are at the heart of the IPCEI ME/CT dynamic. If you would like to highlight an achievement, share a milestone, or give more visibility to your activities, do not hesitate to reach out.
The ABGi team is always happy to support you, whether by offering an additional showcase within the IPCEI ME/CT ecosystem or by contributing to your future communication and dissemination efforts.
Let’s continue to make your innovations shine in 2026 and beyond!
