IPCEI ME/CT CONNECT Event 2025 - June 16, Grenoble (FR)
Microelectronics connecting all industries in Europe
The next networking event for the microelectronics and communication technologies community will take place on the 16th of June(afternoon and early evening), just before the CEA Leti Days in Grenoble, France. 2025's IPCEI ME/CT CONNECT event is entitled 'Microelectronics connecting all industries in Europe'. Registration for the event will open end of April/beginning of May, but herewith we would already like to invite all SMEs and start-ups in the IPCEI ME/CT community (including Indirect Participants, Associated Partners and Direct Participants) to submit a poster for the event (poster submission deadline will be end of May).
We also still have some open slots for IPCEI ME/CT Participants (DP, AP, IP) to present some result highlights of their IPCEI ME/CT project (ideally collaborative results and contributing to the overall thematic of the event), so reach out to us if you would like to become a speaker at the networking event!
IPCEI ME/CT GENERAL ASSEMBLY and Annual Forum

Thank you all for your recent reporting contributions!
Besides the technical progress, we’ve observed some strong and promising spillover activities emerging across the ecosystem, a great indicator of the collective momentum building within the IPCEI ME/CT programme.
We are currently analyzing the reporting in more detail and formatting the Annual Executive Report covering 2024 activities, which will be published by this summer at the latest.
STMicroelectronics held the training "AI on the Edge" at the Gdańsk University of Technology
STMicroelectronics, together with the Department of Microelectronics Systems and the CHIP Student Research Club, organized a training session for students at the Gdańsk University of Technology on March 19th, 2025.
The training, delivered by Bartosz Boryna (Senior Application Engineer at STMicroelectronics), aimed to make participants familiar with the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms directly on STM32 microcontrollers, without transmitting processed data to the computing cloud (Edge AI).
Students learnt how to implement an application operating in accordance with the "Anomaly detection" algorithm and then to physically test it on the Nucleo-L476RG board with the X-Nucleo IKS4A1 expansion module (MEMS Sensors).
This activity is part of a long-lasting collaboration between STMicroelectronics and the Gdańsk University of Technology, as well as part of the former’s commitment to bringing together knowledge, expertise, innovation, and growing new talent in electronics as a member of IPCEI.
STMicroelectronics organized the hackathon "Small Components, Big Ideas" at the University of Valencia
STMicroelectronics and Paidea organized the hackathon "Small Components, Big Ideas" for the students and PhDs of the University of Valencia on February 26-28th.
Objective of the challenge was to propose an innovative idea around the concepts of smart city and smart mobility in less than 72 hours.
Leveraging ST boards received, participants explored the endless design possibilities to revolutionize these concepts. The recognition of “best project” went to the Smart-Tronics team.
As member of the IPCEI, STMicroelectronics is dedicated to enhance the development of new projects that can boost the creation of sustainable urban areas and empower the next generation of electronics professionals by offering hands-on experiences.
