The 2026 EuCNC & 6G Summit builds on putting together two successful conferences in the area of telecommunications:

  • EuCNC (European Conference on Networks and Communications), supported by the European Commission,
  • the 6G Summit, originated from the 6G Flagship programme in Finland, one of the very first in its area.

The conference is sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) and the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP). It focuses on all aspects of telecommunications ranging from 5G deployment and mobile IoT to 6G exploration and future communications systems and networks, including experimentation and testbeds, and applications and services.

The summit brings together cutting-edge research and world-renown industries and businesses. In the last years more than 1000 delegates from more than 40 countries all over the world, came to present and discuss their latest results. More than 50 exhibitors demonstrated the technology developed in the area, namely within research projects from EU R&I programmes.

Not to be missed in the event program :

A specific convened session with Stefan Wunderer (Nokia, Univ. Würzburg, DE) as the chair, introduces “Chiptainability” as a strategic framework integrating sustainability into microelectronics development for 6G systems.

It addresses the growing imperative for the ICT and semiconductor industries to balance environmental, social, and economic impacts while maintaining innovation and competitiveness. The session highlights recent industry and research advances in reducing chip production footprints, improving energy efficiency, and minimizing product carbon impact. Contributions from leading industrial actors and academia will showcase results from major European initiatives such as SNS JU and IPCEI ME/CT. The programme concludes with a panel discussion on sustainability challenges and opportunities across the global 6G chip supply chain.
