An Immersive Summer School on Microelectronics and Chips
The ECS Summer School 2026 offers a unique, high-level learning experience for undergraduate students interested in semiconductors, microelectronics and smart systems.
For one intensive week in Italy, 40 selected students from across Europe will explore the European microelectronics ecosystem through academic lectures, industry-driven sessions and hands-on exchanges with experts and peers. All sessions will be delivered in English.
One Week to Explore the World of Chips
Microelectronics is at the heart of today’s technological revolution. From integrated circuit design to system integration, chips enable innovation across telecom, automotive, biomedical devices, energy, and space applications.
Through lectures, demonstrations and interactive activities, the Summer School will introduce:
- How chips are designed, fabricated, tested and assembled
- How electronic systems interact with the physical and digital worlds
- Current applications and future technological trends in microelectronics
Programme Overview
The programme will cover four main topics:
- Semiconductor Technology
- Integrated Circuits Design
- Digital Systems & Embedded Intelligence
- Integration
Talks will be delivered by representatives from leading universities, research institutes and companies.
Career testimonials by young engineers will complement the technical content.
