Work Organization

The IPCEI ME/CT program is structured around 4 individual workstreams (WS): SENSE, THINK, ACT, and COMMUNICATE ensuring Safety & Security, Sustainability and Digital Sovereignty for the European Union of Tomorrow. The workstreams are supported by a Facilitators Group (FG) and Transform Group (TG) to ensure efficient implementation and high impact of their projects and the overall program. Involved Member States (MS) commit to the program by aligning their national strategies and providing large investment efforts to overcome the challenges of economy and society, while participants commit to the program through the development of innovative technologies along the entire value chain of the semiconductor and communication technologies sector.

Main application fields are automotive/mobility, telecommunication, consumer electronics, Internet of Things (IoT) and industrial applications, health and medical sectors, and aerospace. Projects aim to develop energy-efficient, but at the same time highly performant, electronic systems with a certain degree of multi-functionality as well as data transmission with maximum security and following current/future standards in their design, manufacturing, and performance.
